Here’s the deal: I’m not prominent or well-known, but I do work in a role that makes controversial or counter-cultural comments inadvisable. Not that I’m going to say anything controversial…or even counter-cultural. Well, maybe counter-cultural.
As an author, even the possibility of self-censorship means running under the radar is the logical thing to do here. So allow me to introduce myself as Tyler J. Yates.
My current locale is the greater Rocky Mountain region, though I haven’t always been here. Much of my history was based in the Northwest, where it is gray and rainy and delivers angst as a side order to all the coffee. But today I live just beyond the outer edge of the city I think of as home, a city bathed in sunshine most days. It’s near everywhere and nowhere at the same time, with the mountains and the desert equally close, and I can choose between social bustle and anti-social quiet depending on my mood.
Life is good.
